First time, I tasted Capsicum Bajji in Bangalore street food. Hmm!; the taste was yummy; the vendor deep-fried the full capsicum dipped in the bajji mixture and they serve with onion, some spices and lemon juice. Hmm, that day itself, I am a big fan of all capsicum recipes, especially Capsicum Gravy. It goes well with Chapatis, Jeera Rice, Pulao, etc.
There are a lot of benefits in capsicum, such as

Ingredients for Capsicum Gravy:
- Capsicum Big size - 2 Nos \ Small size - 4 Nos
- Onion Big size - 2 Nos \ Small size - 4 Nos
- Tomato Big size - 2 Nos \ Small size- 4 Nos
- Fennel Seeds - 1 tsp
- Cinnamon - 1 stick
- Ginger - 1 inch
- Garlic - 3 nos
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Garam masala - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Jeera powder - 1/2 tsp
- Oil- 3 tbsp
- Salt - Required

Methods for making Capsicum Gravy :
In a pan, pour 3 tbsp oil and once it's hot, add capsicum and saute up to eight to ten minutes then keep aside in the plate. In same pan add 1 tsp fennel seeds, 1 inch stick cinnamon, onion then saute well until it changed to translucent. Add chopped ginger, garlic in the pan then saute well until its raw smell goes off. Then add tomato in the pan and saute well until it changes to be mushy substance. Take 3/4 part of onion mixture and grind it in mixie as a smooth paste. Add masalas such as chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder, turmeric powder, jeera powder in the remaining 1\4 part, saute well until raw smells go off. Now add a 3/4 part smooth paste and 1 cup of water and required salt in the pan. Once boiled well, add a fried capsicum to the pan and close the lid for ten minutes. Hmm!, The tasty Capsicum Gravy Ready!!!.
Step-by-step instructions to make a Capsicum Gravy:
In a pan and add a three tablespoons of oil for saute the capsicum. |
Saute the capsicum in the oil for ten minutes, then keep aside in the plate.we will add this in final so it gives a crunchiness. |
Saute a 2 big size or 4 small size onion until it's changed to translucent. |
Add a 1 tsp chilli powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder,1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp garam masala, 1/2 tsp jeera powder and less water, saute well until the raw smell goes off. |
Add a capsicum and 1/2 tsp pepper in the gravy.then close the lid and cooked the gravy for five to ten minutes.
