As I mentioned in my last blog, "How to make an Ambulance car using cardboard box", In that there is one event conducted in my daughter's school to make an Emergency vehicle within two weeks using a Cardboard box; they provided all required items such as cardboard box, chart paper, glue.
Hmm, First I made ambulance car with help of information from the scratch, Now I got confident to make an emergency vehicle "Police Car", Here the challenge is they provided one small size rectangle cardboard box and one small size square cardboard box. Based on that, I made some improvements and changes in the car.
After making the Police car, my daughter asked me to make a car for herself 😀, hmm! I started exploring to make a compact car using one small square cardboard box because she can able to hold and play easily. Finally, I made it as per my daughter's interest. Soon will publish step-by-step information about a Compact Car in my blog.

Items needed for making Police Car
- Square Cardboard box - Small size
- Rectangle Cardboard box - Small size
- Glue gun
- Chart papers - White, Black, (Blue, Red - Optional)
- Bubble cover
- Black cover
- Cardboard
- Acrylic Paints

Step-by-step Instructions to make Police car:
I had one small square and rectangle cardboard box. First, I turn square box sidewards and in that open part we have four sides, stick the rectangle box in the bottom part of square box and stick the left and right side of square box in the left and right side of rectangle box and stick the top part of a square box in the front part of rectangle box using glue gun.
Cut the cardboard in the rectangle shape then paste in the side of the rectangle box shown in the picture mentioned as "A" (paste the one corner in the windshield's side in a square box and another corner in the side of the rectangle box). Trim the semi circle shape in the center part of two sides mentioned as "B" in the above picture.
The rectangular box is very thin and flexible and its need more support so I paste 2 inch width cardboard sheet in the center, top, bottom of a cardboard box.if your box is strong, please skip this step.
Trim the black plastic cover in the rectangle shape and paste in the front and back of the car as a window and windshield. If you don't have black plastic cover, then paste the black chart paper in the front and backside of the car.
Measure two 2cm width and draw a straight line in the white chart paper. Trim it as per the highlighted line, then fold its center like 2cm in each side.
Paste the folded paper in the window's and windshield's corner in the car.
How to make headlight and siren for car?
Headlight: Draw and trim a circle in the red chart paper and stick the bubble cover in the top of it using a glue gun.
Siren: Trim the rectangle shape in the cardboard and fold it as per the size of a car using a stapler. Then paste the white chart paper and paint blue and red colour or stick blue chart paper in the half and red chart Paper in the half, stick the bubble cover in the top of it. In the center of siren paste the aluminum foil sheet for resembles silver color.
Paste the siren on top of the car and paste the headlights in the front and back of the car.
Name plate: Trim the two rectangle shapes cardboard as per the size of the center of rectangular box and wrap it with chart paper and write the name "Politie" in Netherland as Police.
Paste the nameplates in the center of the car and colour the blue and orange colour in the sides and front and back of the car similar to Police Car in Netherland.
